How You Can Support Art in Action This Giving Tuesday
Small actions can spark big creativity for students on December 2
Giving Tuesday is coming up and it is a beautiful reminder that generosity can create real change for children. At Art in Action, we believe every child deserves to feel creative, confident, and seen through hands-on art education. Unfortunately, that opportunity is far from guaranteed for many students.
Across the United States, as many as 2 million K–12 students attend schools with no access to any arts instruction. In the same study across 17 states, more than 694,000 students had no arts education available at all.

In California, 74% of school leaders say that inadequate funding is a serious or moderate barrier to offering arts education.
Students in high poverty or rural communities face the largest gaps. One report found that 57% of students eligible for free or reduced lunch attend schools with no arts classes at all.

These numbers are more than statistics. They represent children who need space to create but lack access. They represent teachers who want to bring art into their classrooms but do not have the curriculum, training, or materials. They represent future artists who may never discover their creative spark without programs like Art in Action.
This is why your support on Giving Tuesday matters so much.
Below are simple and meaningful ways you can help bring art into more classrooms this year.
-
This year send a holiday e-card to celebrate the season and honor someone you love. You can customize the e-card message for your loved one. Your purchase of an e-card will help us deliver art lessons and art supplies to students who might otherwise have no creative space at all.
-
Share your favorite Art in Action moments with friends, family, or on social media, and why art is critical for students. Every share brings someone new to discover our mission and learn how they can make a difference too. OR encourage your friends and family to give E-Cards during this holiday season.
-
A gift of $32 will deliver art curriculum and supplies to one child. Help us expand our reach to more students and schools. Your generosity directly helps bridge the access gap to quality arts education for students.
-
Double your impact instantly, many workplaces offer matching donations. It only takes a few minutes to request a Giving Tuesday matching donation.
