Art in Action volunteers perform an array of vital services that help us get art in the hands of schoolchildren everywhere. For more information on any of the volunteer opportunities listed below, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can literally help get art in the hands of students around the country by helping us organize and pack grade-level lesson materials and art supplies that are used in Art in Action schools during the entire school year. Volunteers of high school age and above are welcome. Come by yourself, in a group or set up a corporate volunteer event for employees. Larger groups often walk away with artwork that they create themselves at the end of a session.
Volunteers in AiA’s Menlo Park Headquarters provide much needed support for fundraising campaigns, special events, program enhancements and general assistance.
As a growing non-profit, Art in Action relies on Pro Bono support for highly skilled services like accounting, legal, graphic design, database administration, website design, marketing and curriculum development. We work with individuals and organizations who are interested in sharing their skills to help us grow.
Due to limited financial and volunteer resources, select Art in Action schools often request volunteers from outside their school community to help implement or teach the program. The students these schools serve might not get any art at all if it wasn’t for passionate volunteers
College students gain valuable work experience in all areas pertaining to the business of Art in Action, from business operations to fundraising to curriculum development. High school students can earn community service credit hours for their time. Art in Action has a robust internship program in the summer and accepts interns throughout the school year as well.
Join a fun and devoted group of volunteers to help plan and implement our major annual fundraising event. We welcome volunteers who know how to throw a party!
