Production Assistant Job Posting

Art in Action is seeking a part-time Production Assistant reporting to the Product and Production manager. The Assistant will support production, organization, and shipping of all Art in Action products, including boxes of art materials, art prints, and signature items. The position also aids in the coordination of volunteer services.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organization and problem solving skills, be able to work independently, be task-oriented and dependable, and be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word software.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete orders of art material boxes and posters for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pack, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (unload, label, store)
  • Support management of volunteer activities for packing, events, and training on site and off site
  • Set-up art teacher training sessions
  • Perform inventory controls of components and finished goods
  • Keep quality standards high (quality control checks of work done by self and volunteers)
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management
  • Enter invoices into financial system
  • Order and curate supplies

Physical Responsibilities:

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally reach and work above shoulders to sort and file components and boxes
  • Occasionally climb 4-12 foot ladder to store products
  • Occasionally perform desk-based computer tasks, and seated work using light/fine grasping
  • Position may require repetitive motion

Compensation:

FLSA Status: Part-time, 20/week, Exempt
Hourly wage: $18
Seasonal position: March 1-June 30 2020
