Warehouse Operations Associate

Art in Action, a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Redwood City, CA, is in search of an energetic and organized professional to work with our dedicated team. Reporting to the Production and Customer Relations Manager, the Warehouse Operations Associate will implement all warehouse functions. Art in Action is offering this unique opportunity for the right professional to make an impact on youth development through arts education.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organization and problem solving skills, be able to work independently, be task-oriented and dependable, and be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word software.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product shipping and receiving. Order shipping and product receiving
  • Order fulfillment. Collecting, collating, packing of art supplies
  • Ordering, purchasing, and inventory of production-related items
  • Maintain log of shipped items and tracking orders
  • Maintain warehouse as a safe working environment
  • Supervise seasonal warehouse employees
  • Supervise Art in Action warehouse volunteers
  • Coordinate volunteer events with volunteer organizations
  • Order and organize supplies for corporate events
  • Support docent training by sourcing and ordering supplies
  • Assist with docent trainings
  • Support new lesson development by sourcing, pricing, and ordering supplies
  • Coordinate with Programs to update lesson handouts
  • Coordinate with Programs to update copyright timeline on handouts
  • Support agency projects or campaigns such as fundraisers, as needed

Physical Responsibilities:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Ability to reach and work above shoulders to sort and file components and boxes
  • Ability climb 4-12 foot ladder to store products
  • Ability perform desk-based computer tasks, and seated work using light/fine grasping
  • Position may require repetitive motion

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is a plus
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Collaborative, team spirit
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Must be a self-starter and driven
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Work experience in shipping and receiving, preferred
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google products
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite software ideal

Compensation:

FLSA Status: Part-time, 20/week, Exempt
Hourly wage: $18-20
