Marketing Manager Job Posting

The Marketing Manager will maintain and enhance the Art in Action brand. This role is responsible for customer messaging, digital marketing and online community presence, and developing collateral content. The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the Business Development and Fundraising Development teams to support organizational mission and goals.

Marketing Responsibilities (90%):

  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to research, write, edit and distribute content for publications and digital communications
  • Create communication pieces to effectively promote the organization, including graphics, brochures, fact sheets, reports, presentations, or other promotional products
  • Coordinate media relations, producing press releases, alerts, editorial and events
  • Maintain a marketing communications schedule according to organizational priorities
  • Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategy
  • Create tracking systems for marketing campaigns, online and social media activities
  • Analyze marketing metrics and demographic data
  • Produce periodic reports for key stakeholders
  • Manage social media channels, including community management, scheduling posts, sourcing and creating content, and collecting media
  • Maintain website content through a content management system, manage Google AdWords account and marketing automation system, workflow, database, email templates, and landing pages
  • Manage digital marketing efforts such as optimizing website functioning and SEO, social media activities, and content
  • Assist in departmental and campaign budgeting, researching vendors, requesting estimates
  • Represent organization at external events or as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Collaborate with staff to support company objectives and mission

Sales Responsibilities (10%):

  • Procure new sales leads, including researching and developing lead gen, managing outreach lists, and engaging outreach through outbound marketing campaigns
  • Work in collaboration with the Executive Director, Finance Director, Business Development Director, and Development Manager to address marketing needs and priorities, while recommending new opportunities and paths forward

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Journalism preferred
  • Professional marketing experience, including social media
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, WordPress, and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.


FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt
