Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will maintain and enhance the Art in Action brand. This role is responsible for customer and donor messaging, digital marketing and online community presence, and developing collateral content. The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the Business Development and Fundraising Development teams to support organizational mission and goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a strategic marketing plan to increase AiA brand awareness
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to research, write, edit and distribute content for publications and digital communications
  • Create communication pieces to effectively promote the organization, including graphics, brochures, fact sheets, reports, presentations, or other promotional products
  • Maintain a marketing communications schedule according to organizational priorities
  • Conduct market research
  • Create tracking systems for marketing campaigns, online and social media activities
  • Analyze marketing metrics and demographic data and produce periodic reports for key stakeholders
  • Measure the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight towards goals
  • Manage social media channels, including community management, scheduling posts, sourcing and creating content, and collecting media
  • Maintain website content through a content management system, manage Google AdWords account and marketing automation system, workflow, database, email templates, and landing pages
  • Manage digital marketing efforts such as optimizing website functioning and SEO, social media activities, and content
  • Assist in departmental and campaign budgeting, researching vendors, requesting estimates
  • Represent organization at external events or as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Collaborate with staff to support company objectives and mission
  • Coordinate media relations campaigns, producing press releases, alerts and events
  • Collaborate with Fundraising Development staff to plan, organize and implement fundraising events
  • Collaborate with Business Development staff to plan, organize and implement sales campaigns
  • Participate in corporate engagement activities and events
  • Work in collaboration with the Executive Director and team to address marketing priorities, and recommend new opportunities and paths forward

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Journalism preferred
  • 3-5+ years professional marketing experience, including social media
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, WordPress, and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required
only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.


  • FLSA Status: 32 hours/week, Exempt
  • Salary is competitive and will commensurate with experience.
