The focus this year will be on building a strong and sustainable Art in Action community at your school. We will share ideas and proven methods for cultivating a dedicated docent group, working with teachers on ways to integrate the Art in Action lessons, and more. In addition, you will receive new informational materials for your school coordinator handbook, hear about upcoming events, and meet fellow school coordinators. Visit the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford and experience new ways of seeing art with Judy Sleeth, Executive Director of Art in Action. Judy is a Cantor docent who knows how to excite young students in a museum. Register here.

Creative Collage - Thursday, December 3, 2009, 7-9 pm
Just in time for the holidays, Artist Susie Peyton will lead a workshop on the art of collage. Collage art is perfect for greeting cards, calendars, and other creative gifts. Learn about fun activities for family holiday fun, and make a collage of your own. You will make a four panel accordion book with a collage on each page. Collage materials will be included but feel free to bring items that you might want to incorporate into a collage. The $25 Fee includes materials for the project. Register here.

Deb Cogswell, CSM teacher and artist, will introduce color theory using chalk pastel techniques. You will learn fun new techniques with chalk pastels, and create a masterpiece worthy of framing.
