Art in Action, the Bay Area’s leading provider of visual art educational programs, has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund. The grant will continue Art in Action’s visual arts program in 2009-10 to 180 children aged 6-12 in the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Redwood City.

The generous support from community-minded organizations such as the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund enables local elementary students, who otherwise would have little access to art, to receive a visual art education. The program enriches the students’ education and inspires their learning and creativity.
