Art in Action Receives Grant from U.S. Bank

Art in Action, a leading provider of K-12 visual art programs, has been awarded a $5,000 grant from U.S. Bank. This grant will enable Art in Action to support its programs to elementary school students from low-income families in the San Francisco Bay Area under Title 1 legislation.

The generous support from community-minded organizations such as U.S. Bank enables local students, who otherwise would have little access to art, to receive a quality visual art education. The program enriches the students’ education and inspires their learning and creativity.

Art in Action offers a comprehensive visual art program consisting of a sequential curriculum based on the Great Masters, lesson-specific art supplies, training of teachers and parent volunteers, and school support. The curriculum provides detailed, recipe-style directions for guiding successful discussions and projects, and integrates with language arts, mathematics, science, music, and social studies. The curriculum received a 99.5% user satisfaction rating in a recent user survey. Art in Action was founded in 1982 and is a nonprofit organization. More information at www.artinaction.org.
